I like to break my stats down into 3 catagories
ie...
VP$P = Green 0-15
Grey 15.01-29.99
Red 30-100

What ranges should I put for the following:
Fold to Flop Bet
Won at SD
Won SD when Raised River
Fold to River Bet
Folded BB to steal
Folded SB to steal
Cold Call Preflop
Continuation Bet

This is for SHLHE

other info:

vpip - helps you put people on a range of hands. those 5-12% people don't get any action from me unless i have the nuts or i am drawing with proper odds to the nuts. the 50%+ people get an odd form of respect from me as it's almost impossible to put them on a hand.

agg freq - useful for determining whether you can try for a CR or whether you should bet out.

i use the following: #hands, bb/100, vpip, pfr%, call pfr, SDinfo, agg freq, WtSD, W$SD, WSDRT, WSDRR, Fold Flop Bet, Fold Turn Bet, Fold River Bet, Fold Flop Raise, Fold Turn Raise, Fold River Raise.

Explanations:

# of hands - helps determine accuracy of stats

bb/100 - shows me whether this guy is a moron or not. can vary widely when # of hands is low. i often use it to determine whether to respect someone's bet or raise (esp. in plo8 -- a nuts game).

vpip - basic info

pfr% - this is useful for seat selection. i often try to sit to the left of the aggro pfr people.

call pfr - this is useful when you want to see how much or how little action your raises will get. if this is high with a lot of players, you don't want to raise to thin the field -- it won't work.

agg freq - i was using agg factor before, but i find this as useful if not more so.

Went to SD - i like to know who's a monkey and who's not.

Win $ at SD - some people show down at a reasonable percentage, but they showdown a lot of junk. this is useful to know if you are playing a non-nut hand (in plo8) or a non-strong hand (e.g., TP weak kicker in 6max lhe).

Win SD when Raise Turn - does that raise mean anything, or is he just posturing and/or looking for a free SD.

Win SD when Raise River - does that raise mean NUTZ or does he value bet with marginal edges... or does he raise in an effort to get the best hand (but non-nut) to fold. MK, this stat's for YOU!!!

Fold to various bets or raises - This tells a lot about a player's strategy. for example, some players like to see the turn before they fold their junk. others fold on the flop -- fit or fold types. others just don't really fold much at all. the fold to raise bets are useful to determine whether you can push them off a hand or not with a raise. if they reraise you, you can often define their hand by looking at the WSDRT or WSDRR stats. if they don't fold, you should only value raise rather than count on fold equity (esp. for LHE).

Also, I intentionally remove AF Turn and River and Folds Turn and River (although I have them in the popups) because I want to force myself to make most of my decisions on the flop. I don't want to look at a guy, see he folds lots of rivers and talk myself into just calling on the flop. Yuck.

So… I thought that starting a discussion here, focussing on which stats people have chosen to display, and how they find themselves using the stats in their play, might be a good way of going about this. I’ve seen a few threads here (eg APT’s journal) and elsewhere (Poker Tracker forum) that suggest this may be of interest to some of the regulars here.

I’d guess that everybody’s using VPIP and PFR so there’s probably no need to mention those two unless you’ve got an unusual slant on them. I’ll start the ball rolling with my somewhat primitive stats. Looking at these you can probably see why I’m creating this post! I don’t know if I’m on the right lines, but I’m sure I could get a lot more out of the stats available.

CCPF - what it means when he calls a PFR; > 5% is suspect
No. Hands - how confident I can be in his stats
Ag Fr Flop - <40% bet suggests strength; >60% bets 2nd pair/draws/2 overs/steals etc
Ag Fr Turn - <35% bet suggests strength; >60% bets 2nd pair/draws/steals etc
Ag Fr River - <35% bet suggests strength; >60% bets 2nd pair/draws/steals etc
Fold Flop/ Fold Turn/ Fold River - <40% CS-ish, don’t bluff often; >70% often bluffable

Anyone like to add theirs?
