Hand 3 you could bet if checked to if you feel either player may muck two pair (which is unlikely) so you should generally probably check call. No real high here and your low is only 2nd best.
Hnad 4 your preflop and flop play is fine, I bet the turn too but again i'm probably looking to slowdown on the river unless I feel a high hand promotion is possible (i.e. bet with nut low and hope someone with a better high but no low, eg two pair, folds and allows you to 3/4 or scoop another low hand). In general, it'll be once in a blue moon you'll be able to fold a better high hand by betting the river, although your low could be good against 2 poor players which would make it more of a value bet.
Hand 5 I'd only raise as a blind steal without the MP limper but in truth it's not the worst play, as long as you realise it IS a position steal attempt and your hand is very mediocre (I would muck it in EP). Flop is a bit of a marginal call to be honest (your low figures to be best maybe only 50% of the time and your high values are very suspect) so to me it looks more like a fold. On the river you need to bet if checked to, or raise if one player bets, in a two-way showdown you'll be picking up half the pot or more a vast majority of the time.Statistics: Posted by Felonius_Monk — Fri Jan 13, 2006 1:12 pm
