Hand 2: This is such a typical situation in PLO8 higher limits when you start to encounter really tough players. You know he has put you on a hand, and he also knows that you know this, so what does his bet mean? There were players on the $1k/$2k level at Party who were capable of making this move with almost anything because they knew they were putting you in a tough spot. I don't think the decision here is nearly as important as noting who this player is, and watching him very closely in the future. Given the equities, Goops analysis is probably correct. Aren't you glad you didn't have a big stack and this wasn't like a $2k table. There were times at night when you'd have 4-5 guys at the table who could literally have anything making this move at the $1k $2k levels. Scary players. Granted this was not all the time, but it does concern me about the prospects for table selection at this level in the near future. You really need a fish or two to be siting at the higher levels, or stuff like this makes the game VERY tough for guys like me (and you Dave) who are lower variance players moving up.
