anyway, i think you probably should give us some reads (e.g., the flush comment) when you post these hands. i mean, if you think you'll get paid off by any lower flush, yeah, limp any suited ace -- esp. if they're passive and will let you draw cheaply AND then pay you off once you hit.
in a tighter game, the 55 actually hurts you here, imo, since a set will often be dominated if a lot of money goes in the middle. i'd rather have a suited ace and some sort of run with or without gaps (e.g., A568). again, i think the site you play on is kind of unlike anything anyone here plays on (at least these days), so please don't be shy about adding some color commentary.

as far as pf is concerned, i think the limp is fine IF you are confident that you can outplay your opponents post-flop. i think only you can make that judgment.
