I just registered for this forum after hearing from an FCP guy that this forum has really good PLO8 advice. Definitely looks like it after skimming some posts. =)
I consider you a shark at the tables and generally try to avoid you, especially out of position, and in general, I think from the long-term results you've posted on the 2+2 forum, you have a better winrate than me. So take my advice with a grain of salt as I could be wrong, and if you disagree, I'd love to hear why.
Why did you lead oop on this flop? And how can you consider pushing this flop? You have just a nut low draw (no counterfeit protection) and very little for high -- just one pair that will almost never be good at showdown, if the money gets in.
What is the purpose of the ~1/2 pot lead? Is it kind of a blocker bet, where you're hoping no one raises so you can see a turn for cheaper than if you had to c/c a psb? Otherwise I just don't understand it. You are just building the pot oop with a not-that-strong hand.
On the turn, it's pretty close because of all the players that called. However, you'd be putting in ~$400 it seems into the sidepot heads-up with UTG, and I hate that when you have just third pair, no flush draw, no straight draw, and just an unprotected nut low draw. So I find this a fold as well.
Let me know what you think, thanks.
