My main point is that it's in bad shape on that particular board against 789T and in horrible shape against 69TJ.
Basically, on that board, someone bets, and you raise, all you can really hope for is fold equity. If they call, the best you can hope for is top set, where you're more or less a coinflip and maybe even favorite.
If one is going to play that hand at all, I think it would be CRUCIAL to have it single-suited to the T.
Also, just for the sake of clarity: It's the LOCATION of the gap that's bothering me.
