I was told that I was a very bold for making this call, but it didn't seem like much of a choice. If he has 4 of a kind, fine, move on. Let me know your thoughts.

Pre-flop:
doesnotsleep raises to $.85. luckyvanessa goes all-in
for $1.20. tokner re-raises to $4.80. procrastnator
folds. SELF calls. Mojo Blue folds.
Olin_Restwood folds. ken aces folds. diceman369
folds. waterkri folds. doesnotsleep calls.
PF I almost re-raise tokner to get him all-in, but decide to call if really bad flop. But, of course, he'll probably push no matter the flop with only $4 left. Anyway, call it is
Flop (board: 7d 3s 7h):
doesnotsleep checks. tokner goes all-in for $4.93.
SELF calls. doesnotsleep calls.
Okay, flop sucks, but still figure him to push any flop. Thankfully, original raiser, doesn't re-raise here.
Turn (board: 7d 3s 7h 7s):
doesnotsleep bets $30.74. SELF calls.
Holding nut boat, and figure any 7 would've pushed harder on the flop, so called fairly quickly. Of course, now that I understand PLO better, maybe a 7 with crap kickers doesn't re-raise on flop due to large pot size. I dunno.
River (board: 7d 3s 7h 7s Td):
doesnotsleep goes all-in for $9.73. SELF goes
all-in for $5.01. doesnotsleep is returned $4.72
(uncalled).
River gives one more hand that can beat me, but $5 into $90 pot, don't even hesitate.

So, as I said, many players at the table told me I was bold for making the turn call. Was I? This leads me to my big question -- Natural vs. Unnatural 4 of a kind. How scared should I be that villain holds the case 7? I know if I lose to a Natural 4 of a kind (holding pocket pair) with nut boat, I shouldn't care. But in this case, should I have been more hesitant? Anybody wanna discuss odds and probablilities here? Thanks in advance.[/u][/i]Statistics: Posted by username_disallowed — Sat Apr 07, 2007 5:47 pm
