Hand 2 - Good bluff by him. Still, I think this would be a very tough call. 3-1 odds on the main pot but there's a good chance you could be only playing for the side pot. This seems like a decent enough fold on the face of it.
Hand 3 - Seems like a pretty easy call. Fine all the way.
Hand 4 - flop call is a little loose if you think the rest will certainly fold (or raise a big flush), unless you know the better will pay off nicely if you catch, in which case implied odds make it A-OK. Other than that, played fine. Betting the river would not be +EV against most players, seems he's looking for a cheap showdown. If he has 2nd nut flush or something, just give it up.
Hand 5 - flop call again a bit loose, but one advantage is that there's players still to act who, if they're passive (usually at this level) will put some dead money in for you. Well, it didn't work out. On the turn there's no chance of you being better than 1 in 4 to win it (even if ALL your king and flush outs are live) and the pot is paying you worse than that, so it's an easy fold.Statistics: Posted by Felonius_Monk — Wed Apr 13, 2005 12:37 pm
