Nothing playable for the first round and a half, then I get A34Q in MP. Folds to me and I make a min raise to $4. 2 callers, plus Kristy calls me from the BB. Pot is $9.
Flop is 24K rainbow. Ok, I have a nut low draw and pair of 4s, woohoo. Kristy checks, and I bet $5. Everyone folds, but she flat calls. Pot is $19.
Turn is another 4, giving me trips with an ace kicker, but it puts a 2nd diamond on the board. She bets the pot now, but I can't see any way that she would slow play a set on the flop with 2 to a low, so I really think my trip 4s are good here. I reraise the pot $75 or so back at her. No way she can call this.
She calls. RIver is a 5 of diamonds, giving me a wheel and putting a backdoor flush on the board. She pushes me in, I call expecting at least half the pot.
Well, not exactly. She takes 3/4 thanks to a A3KQ hand with the KQ of diamonds. So she called a pot bet on 4th street with a pair of kings, low draw, and king high flush draw. Am I not the only one that sees this as a pretty fishy play on her part? Any card but a diamond and I am getting a minimum of 3/4 here.

I guess even semi-WCPs can suck one out once in a while, huh?Statistics: Posted by JDLush — Wed May 18, 2005 8:46 pm
