Remember what Monk says--Unlike in holdem, it isn't uncommon to see a player raise pre-flop, miss the flop, and toss the hand away to a bet. Play early as cheaply as possible, call/re-raise with solid hands, and from there, see what you get and don't be afraid to toss a hand away.
