I guess there are 2 ways to look at the hand.
1) You are up against another 4 that may already be boated (or 88), in which case you are drawing to very few outs for high and need the low to break even.
2) You are up against another 4 that hasn't boated, in which case you are looking at taking all or perhaps half of the high, and are in good shape for low.
I figured the only hand that really kicks my ass is A288, and that I am most likely up against A24x at worst, in which case he has 3 outs to 3/4 me assuming the low comes. I figured if I call and the turn bricks I can't call his forthcoming pot bet. Since I had him covered I potted back at him and he called.
