Flop comes 289, but all clubs. I have top set, but will almost certainly need the board to pair to have a shot. I plan on folding, but lo and behold, UTG pots it, and 4 more guys call. Now there's $80 in the pot, my $15 could win me about $70 of it, so I have to call. Well, maybe I don't have to, but I do anyway.
Turn is a J, but the river is a glorious 8 and I take half. Then the fun starts. A guy that had the nut flush on the flop goes off about me playing a crap hand. I just tell him "Hey, that's a Double Suited crap hand to you, buddy". He goes on about how I should never play a 9, blah blah blah. I tell him "I was feeling lucky, and I was RIGHT".
3 hands later I stack him with a flopped wheel that I pushed hard on. He called me down with 2 pair and no low. Statistics: Posted by JDLush — Mon Oct 24, 2005 12:53 pm
