I've lived in Rochester since I was three years old. Currently, I'm in Binghamton, NY for college, but during semester breaks I return "home" to Rochester. I wish I picked a different school than Binghamton, but it's my senior year now and I might as well finish it.
Here's what I know so far... I don't like Rochester. So many of the people there are bitter and miserable. And having the highest crime rate per capita isn't pleasant. I also don't like Binghamton. I'm thinking about eventually moving to Oregon. To say the least, I like rain. But I do not like hot weather.

For what it's worth, I remember finding UPF thru a Google search of "Poker Forum" over a year or 2 ago. I think it was the first or second one that was listed. I found your posts there to be very intelligent and followed to here. I dont read UPF nearly as much as here nowadays but I did find your site thru there. The word of mouth your site got there was what led me to check it out.

I grew up in South Carolina, and Rochester NY was supposed to be a temporary thing in my life but I ended up staying there for 15 years, for two reasons - my career got its legs there, and I also met my wife-to-be there.
By the 15th year, I hated it there so much (95% of it for climate reasons) that I took the first opportunity outside Rochester that arisen.. I don't mind moving from a rainy place to another as long as it's warmer.. but good thing it's completely opposite here in Roseville, California (outside Sacramento area). A week or two ago, we went past at least 20 days of 100+ degree weather.. and we made the right choice of buying a house with a swimming pool! We as a family couldn't be more happier, climate-wiser.
What were you doing in Rochester NY.. working, living, or studying?
