What do you do on a seemingly benign flop (say 10 6 2 for arguments sake) when QQ faces resistance. Do you pay off the monkey that plays 106s suited because its his dog's birthday? Simply put, its a bad play. The days of cautious poker being profitable are long gone. Not to try and change your mind, but if anyone else out there is reading thinking '[Hey yea, you know what, I'm not going to ever raise UTG anymore", I think they should know that this is flat out bad poker. OK, say you will fold facing resistance, but how will you know if this is some idiot married to TPNK or if the idiot does in fact have a set?
Nothing personal, just discussing strategy.Statistics: Posted by Allstar7 — Mon Nov 13, 2006 2:13 pm
