buy short.
I am comfortable playing 24-32bbs, I like it more than buying in full. I also go through periods where I play like crap and this make it less painful. I work full time and have two kids. I play poker for the fun of it. This is fun and helps me clear bonus faster. In theory I would really love to play optimally, I like to discuss hands and find the best plays to make. In the end I just care if my BR is a little bigger at the end of the month. I am not going to work a full day running loss models and yield predictions and then come home and play poker and focus intensely. I used to play a lot of SnGs and MTTs, and SS stacking reminds of the parts of those games I liked the most.
Play so low.
That is pretty funny and is actually a big unknown. I have guarded my BR jealously and have switched games rather than moved up in limits. Also, as I have mentioned ad naseum, I took most of my BR offline last Oct before the NT fiasco hit. I am down to about $1300 which I have split between PS and Cake. When I played the split games the games dried up so much after 1/2 that I never moved up steadily. The games loosened up on FTP quit a bit buy by then my BR was gone.
Play Holdem.
PL Holdem was the first game I ever played. $25PL on party (yeah and 4 years laters I am still playing $50NL).
I have played a lot of NL on party in it's final US days clearing bonuses because the O8b games had gotten so bad. I could four table on party and clear the bonus pretty quickly and averaged about 3ptbb/100.
Now Cake is the only place I have a bonus worth clearing (fuck you UB) so I am playing NL, what else am I going to play? I can't stand limit holdem.Statistics: Posted by Beavis68 — Tue Jun 19, 2007 9:58 am
