I have not been playing trash from the sb after you guys pointed out the errors of my ways. And they are many. The new NL book gives this hand as an often playable. From the SB with a discount I figured we could take a look at a flop.
Flop: ($0.08) , , (4 players)
Hero bets $0.04, BB folds, UTG+1 raises to $0.08, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $0.2, UTG+1 calls $0.12.
Villian is rated the bomb icon in PT with stats of 57% VPIP and 25% PFR. He has been raising people off of their hands with who knows what since everyone folds to him.
I bet half the pot expecting him to raise if he even continues. After he raised I reraised the SIZE OF THE POT . I thought that would be correct.
Turn: ($0.48) (2 players)
Hero bets $0.2, UTG+1 calls $0.20.
I bet roughly half the pot this time. Should I have just bet the pot again?
River: ($0.88) (2 players)
Hero bets $0.4, UTG+1 raises to $1.2, Hero raises to $4.56, UTG+1 calls $3.36.
I bet roughly half again. He must like the ace so I pushed after he raised. I think I was lucky he called.
If I could get the betting down to where I don't make as many rookie errors I would hit the $10 game. I think I have some work to do before I start thinking about moving up. Thanks for any thoughts on this hand.
