First, while I wouldn't play this hand, I would be playing A6s, 76s, etc. in LP, and on this board, they all really amount to the same hand.
Second, I would also bet the flop, but this is very simply a "Did everyone miss?" bet. And you then get your answer: They didn't or they're not giving up anyway.
The turn then improves your hand against any naked PP (which I still consider possible, but the fact that they didn't bet makes it fairly unlikely) but not against any 8, which is just as likely as a 6 at this point. So, the check is good.
My plan at this point would be just to call a reasonable bet on the river. I think you win this hand often enough to justify that play.
