I think you got yourself in trouble here by checking the turn OOP. this is 6-max, so his range of hands should be going up here.
I think you need to bet ~$225 on the turn, fold to a raise, and check call the river if he calls. This gives you more of an opportunity to define his hand and figure out if you indeed are still ahead, while still charging hands like QJ a good price.
I run into this problem a lot when i'm playing big pairs OOP against full stacks, a lot of time i just clam up on the turn and hope to keep the pot small, but anyone with any sense will bet here and put me to a test - and if i just smooth call and check the river, if they're bold (or want a call) i'll face a big bet at the river and have no way of telling if i'm ahead in the hand or if i've been drawing slim since the flop.Statistics: Posted by Stelvask — Thu Oct 12, 2006 12:34 am
