In this hand I guess he's either making the move with an inferior pp praying you have AK, one of the 4 or 5 hands, or he has a pocket pair with an OESD and is taking a shot figuring your probably going to call with your large overpair, utilizing the push to call some FE into the hand. A set is always a potential but I don't think he has that here.
Unfortunately, this "never raise UTG" concept, which strikes me as quite odd, may have cost you big time on this hand.
What is your reasoning for never raising under the gun? I could see doing it rarely, or even occasionally, but never dosen't sound like a winning strategy to me.
Also, is this FR or 6max? You didn't state it. I suppose if it is FR I might be able to possibly see your thinking behind never raising UTG. Maybe.
