Other than this hand, the only river bet was on a hand with absolutely no showdown value.
Anyhow, he seems to make it pretty easy to call if he has a hand of value.
If you do bet the flop at maybe $20, and he calls, then he check-calls the turn for maybe $50, you're looking at a river pot of almost $200 and at least makes the whole thing a lot more of a commitment.
I guess if you're really confident in the read, then the main issue is whether there's enough stack-depth on that scenario for him to fire $200 at it because he's behind--or more like $50 because he's ahead with at least an A and possibly the flush or straight ...Statistics: Posted by Aisthesis — Sun Jan 28, 2007 12:44 am
