Lineup:
Seat 1: Shobute
Seat 2: Tight guy who we've never seen before...VERY VERY VERY passive.
Seat 3: Mildly tight young middle eastern (I think Indian...pretty sure) guy.
Seat 4: Pretty loose and bluffy cousin of seat 3 (older though...mid-thirties methinks)
Seat 5: Me
Seat 6: Uber loose and really bad part-owner of the club.
Table dynamic: Seat 6 has been losing a lot more than usual (more quickly, that is)...making a lot of bets and having seat 4 call him down with crap like J-high and that being good. He CRAI'd me when I cb'd a Q high flop...I called with AQ and he had undercards gut-shot (I held up). He'd been playing pretty agro for his normal game...not bad if only seat 4 wasn't such a CS.
Shobute is his normal super agro sLAG self being the table bully and taking down a couple monster pots, putting on lots of pressure to everyone, straddling then raising 4 limpers to 50-60 and showing 93o. He's up and playing really well. I've been staying out of his way, like I do now, but he's been making some small preflop plays on me.
I'm generally up, been bouyant between +80 and +220. Playing my normal TAG game OOP, and a looser game in position (calling raises and raising myself).
Here's the hand: I get AQ in the SB and Shob opens to 20-25. A caller (probably seat 4), I call, and Seat 6 calls (obv.).
Flop QTX rainbow. Pot 80-100.
I check, generally planning CR here, but since it's Shob I don't want to escalate the pot (he's staking me, remember), I'm willing to get to a showdown cheaply without putting in the CR. Seat 6 checks, Shob CB's 50, Seat 4 folds, I call, Seat 6 thinks for a few seconds (READ: DRAWING...maybe even to something like a gutshot or 2 outer with a low pair).
Turn offsuit blank. Pot ~240. I check (another spot I might usually CR, but I don't for the aforementioned reasons). Seat 6 checks...shob bets 115...not immediately, but pretty quick: he didn't announce raise, but counted out the chips after a 3 second pause and announced as he put them in. I call within 5 seconds. Seat 6 folds after about 5 seconds.
River, Ax. Pot ~470
I think for a few seconds and announce: same bet, and slide 115 out there. He thinks for about 10 seconds and calls. He mucks and mutters that it was a sick suckout.
