Now if you were playing 'properly' and getting good reads and making moves and discovering new ways to beat regulars and found this fun and challenging then I can definitely see why playing poker would be a good idea. But once you work out a 'system' to shortstack robotically with then there really doesn't sound like there's much more in it for you other than a bit of extra cash.
Again if this worked at the 25/50 games and you were table to pull $500/hr doing it, then that's different, but I think those players would catch on and adjust ranges to you after a couple of days to reduce your EV and the player pool isn't big enough to just change tables at that stage.
