My 1st thought is that a high pot total is good because it means people are raising and reraising each other and normally that means they are raising lightly and I can take advantage of that.
It could also mean deep stacks which is another thing I can take advantage of. Already a couple times Ive been all in preflop with 2 other guys instead of one. I might have something like JJ. Since theres 2 other guys, theres a side pot and usually one of them bets the other guy out which gives me protection (exactly the opposite of what they would do in a tournament).
Other than that, Im open to ideas about table selection and seat selection.
