His hand range isn't that wide. Q, 9 (A9 and QJ being most likely) or flush draw. You can't get him to fold a Q, might be able to get him off a 9 and will of course push him off a busted flush draw much cheaper. Is the overbet designed to get him off the Q? I think that is a bit overkill as well as too optimistic. A good size in my opinion would be $15.
I think it is a mistake to not bet the flop though and you got yourself trapped into some FPS by not doing so.

I think this is spewage.
