Should I be raising here? I get a feeling that I only fold out hands that beat me here if i raise and yet this could be a blocking bet by Qx and a river spade could hurt me. So should hero flat call or raise to 202?
River: ($249, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $165, UTG calls $165
How thin is this river bet? He is not a CS type of player

I feel I'm donating money here by playing out the hand like this. If i decide to call PF I don't think i can play rest of the hand like this, especially against such opponent.
If his range is { 22+, AJs+, KQs, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, AQo+ } for 3 bets, which is quite likely, I am 66-33 vs this range. Lets assume he calls here w TT, there is 250$ of dead money on flop. We assume that he only calls with tt+ or sets if i decide to push flop. I'm
23.6-76.3 % dog vs that range. So I'm risking 430 to win 774: 774: 430 1.8:1.0
100/2.8--> i need 35% equity while I have 24% If we assume he CB's 100% of time w air
help? 4bet FTW? I guess calling flop would be fine if we know he will give up later since we are ahead of his range by a lot on flop and are getting decent odds
Hand 3:
Villain is 150/18/16/6.67
Bets turn 40%
So he is quite aggresive

Hero bets $50, UTG raises to $165, Hero? He bets turn 40% of time so he is very likely to follow up turn with a bet even if he is bluffing. He could be doing this with a weaker pocked or a draw but my PP is so low that a lot of XXc draws will be coin flipping with me. Is this a weak fold given that we have no special reads? The reason why i decided to bet flop was the fact that he will bet turn often and i will be folding a lot of the best hands. So C/C kinda sucks if i expect to get pushed off the hand later? or should I be actually doing the opposite? calling both flop and turn no matter what? (There are a lot of turn scare cards for me + the fact that I could already be behind TT+)Statistics: Posted by gsdavid — Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:37 am
