Look at an all in raise preflop in the same catagory as a semibluff in a ring game. Raising all in preflop gives you two ways to win the pot, but calling an all in means that in all likelyhood you're at about a 60% chance to win, or lower. Especially with your opponent that low, you probably only have to steal one round of blinds to have a big advantage over him. At this point in the game, you are not really playing cards as much as you are playing situations -- you've just got to develop a feel for when people are likely to fold to you when you're a short stack, and when they are itching to call. Make a move when they will fold, because outsurviving just one extra person makes the difference between 100% loss and a nearly 100% ROI for that one SNG!

You(collective us if you like) seem to be the only person who remembers you have to use your stack to get anywhere. Like pushing with 10's, i would have done it everytime, you are likely to be called by weak K or weak A espech at 10 dollar buy in level
Nothing wrong with your play, you just can;t keep folding waiting for someone to make a miove, only the guy with 3000 plus chips can, because he doesn't want to double someone for nothing
Dont feel too bad, even with SNG swings are common and i couldn't buy a win the last time i had a big bankroll.. but i built it from hardly anything so dont worry i am sure the win is just around the corner
