That said certain games suit certain players and if you like and do well at Turbo SnG's I don't really see any reason for switching to ones that take (according to the sticky above) more than twice as long on average to finish. Apart from the $/hr issue there is the probability that you will be very frustrated by what you see as their glacial pace - of course you could try firing up 6-8 of them at once to compensate.
For me I like fast SnG's and long MTT's - so long as you get some experience of deeper stacked poker somewhere along the line, I wouldn't worry too much..
