I don't care if your IceMan, Unknown Player, ATE or any other Pro, Semi Pro or Enthusiast. Would all love toturn $20 into $1,200 for 3 hours work.
In reading your post it reminded me of something I would like to point out to players that are new to multi's or just can't seem to get over the hump and make it to the real money.
POT LIMIT!!!!! A lot of cash game players do not do well in MTT's because they are to aggressive. Entering a PL MTT keeps you from throwing away too many chips into the pot early in the tourny. Once the blinds get up to were aggressive play pays off you will still have chips to be aggressive with.
What PL does is allow you to shift gears without shifting gears.
