Go to www.pokersourceonline.com and do one of their promotions to get PT for free...with such a small bankroll, it's too expensive to buy BUT it's very very very useful.

Thanks for the advice. This has been a good week at PS. Guess I am on an upswing since my BR went from 75(what i started with) to 170.

I am playing the .1/.2 NLHE at Stars and having a good time. As far as PT Costs, I plan on getting it to help improve my game. I have laid out a personal challenge to myself to see how high I can increase my bankroll with out any deposits. It should be fun.

One quick question. Which program is better, Poker Traker or Poker Office and why?

Poker Tracker is better because it is constantly updated, the support for it is good, the majority of people use it and therefore it is easier to have your stats analyzed/compare with others/etc. I think PO has a couple of advantages over PT but PT is generally thought to be the best by a long shot.

If you're serious about playing online poker, the ONLY reason you should wait to buy PT would be if you HAD to pay for it out of your BR. If you have the extra money outside the BR, buy it now. And once you buy it, make sure you use it. Otherwise it's just a waste obviously. I also like the PokerAce HUD program that you can use with it. But that's more money as well so you may want to hold off on it til you decide whether or not you like PokerTracker.

Download the trial version of PT and try it out for 1k hands. You'll end up buying it after that i expect.
