I suppose if the moderator is nice enough to grant my request for an "Introductions" forum it would be rude of me not to introduce myself...
I live in St Louis, Missouri, am 44, and have been playing hold 'em for about two years. I have read 7-8 poker books, all payed for out of my poker winnings. I look at it as a way of reinvesting in my poker future. I used to visit the local B&M but online play is just too convenient so I rarely play live anymore. I started my online experience at Ultimate Bet. Along with the books I was a frequent visitor to another poker forum where I became familiar with many of the posters on this site. I especially enjoyed the police stories so when I heard of the move to this forum I didn't look back. I visit forums for many of my hobbies and they usually save me money but the poker forums have made me money and for that I am very grateful.
While the tougher competition at Ultimate Bet was great for me in learning the basics of the game I felt Party Poker offered better long term prospects. I have been playing at Party Poker for about six months. I play almost exclusively Sit and Go's, mostly one table but I have been trying the two and three tables varieties more and more lately. I tend to play mostly $10 S&G but like to move up to the $20s in the evenings when play gets worse (to be blunt). To take that to an extreme (mine at least) I have been playing the 3 table - $30 S&Gs, but never more than one in any given evening. I will be the first to admit that my bankroll isn't large enough for play at this level so what I do is my own personal satelite. If I play a $10 S&G and get 1st or 2nd place I have basically covered my entry into the $30. Finally, I my Neteller Debit Card!!!
