Wow it's been a little over a year of playing poker and I still haven't gone broke
.
Well I want to really ramp up my 6 max game. There's some leaks I know I need to fix and I need to remain more aware of them during a session. I really want to try and focus a lot more on maximizing my wins and minimizing my losses in the hands I play. Sounds simple dosen't it?
I've also been runningn fairly shitty the last few thousand hands, card dead, flop dead, outdrawn, counterfitted (which absoloutely drives me insane BTW).... you name it it's been my last few weeks. As a result my BB/100 has suffered a bit. I ran for quite a while at around 2 BB/100 and my shorter term goal would be to get back near that level and feel confident that it can be a fairly constant WR at my current level. I'm currently at about 25K hands at 1/2 and my BB/100 can still fluctuate fairly easily after a session which to me means I don't have enough hands. I went from about 2.3BB/100 to less than .5 back to 1.5 and bouncing around that area for a while. I've never really played a level for much more than 25K hands or so, I'm planning on pushing it to the 50K hand mark and see where I'm at. If I can confidently feel like I'm crushing the game I'll move up.
I have always usually played overrolled for a level and I'm way overrolled for my current. What I've been doing the last few months is setting a minimum level for my BR which I put at 3K. Any profits above that I've been cashing out so I can actually feel like I've gotten something out of poker over the last year.
So overall I want to focus more on controlling my game, maximize my winners and minimize my losers. And also remeber that I'm not going to win every pot I enter and/or raise PF which is where some of my leaks come from.
If I was still able to whore as much as I used
to I'd probably be moving up a little quicker. Since those days are mostly a fond memory I need to really focus on playing well.
