I usually have a tight image because I really play tight...and it is hard for me to change. But lately I have noticed something...people also take an impression of you not based off of your play and your words, but also of the size and shape of your chip stack.
If you have a large stack, people will form an opinion on you and a way to play you that might pay your off more or get you more pots. I've noticed those who do not play poker that much tend to back off against you w/ large hands and also let you take more pots than you might get if you had just a few stacks of twenty in front of you. On the other hand, aggressive types and those who think they are great poker players will try and come after you and bully you, so you usually can make a good deal there with a tight game. I've also heard and felt the attitude from people toward a huge stack of chips become annoyed or angry as if they want to say 'how dare he have $400 chips in front of him at a 3/6 game.
I think this might actually help a tight player's game...anyone else have an opinion on this or another way to build image without doing it with the chips?
