About 80ish hands on villian so far hes 47/2/0.60 and is a station from what I've seen.
He usually donk bets the flop if he hits it, especially with top pair.

I would call too. Oh well.

Yeah I don't see why a fold here is not a very good option.

1. Your opponent from his numbers seems to clearly be a passive player yet he leads into you on the river.
2. He called the raise from the BB and he is already quite loose so he could have MANY hands that beat your lone 2nd pair here.
3. The pot is not that huge (6.5 BB with his river lead) that making a crying call is a mandatory thing.

Many times against your more sophiticated opposition you might have to suck it up and call here but I just don't see this as one of those cases. An untricky, passive player is simply not going to bet this river into you with a hand that you can beat sufficient amount of times to warrant a call given the pot size in my opinion.

Ya know, I had an interesting hand where I did a river donk bet last night:
Live $4-8, I have in the BB and some MP guy raises, I flat call since I really didn't have a read on this guy - he had only played about two hands as he just came to the table.

I check/call flop
Turn
I check/call turn
River:
In live games once you play long enough you sometimes can just sense weakness in some people by the way they bet and such - I felt he had two broadways and not a big pocket pair by the way he was betting so I bet out on the river and sure enough he mucked faceup.

So sometimes the river donk bet is a valid strategy. And I am sure I am not the only one doing plays like this so every situation has to be looked at differently. Would I have called here with AK high - I don't know - probably not - but with the flush card not coming I would have considered it.
