thoughts on tricky board

I seem to run into these situations a lot, where I think i'm forced to either put them on a flush draw or maybe an over pair possibly. Anyone play this hand differently? anyone check the river?

HAND2:
here i think right off the bat i have to put my opponent on Ax or a pocket pair...and since no Ace or King comes on the board, i put my opponent on a pocker pair. just wasnt sure if my pocket pair was higher than his or not. anyone play it "safer?" my aggression sometimes gets the best of me..
