I'm rarely one to post big pair hands cuz it's so rare for me to get in interesting spots with them (I think I play my big pairs quite well...one of my strengths that I really honed in my PP-FR days).
History: Villian is a 44/5/ donkey. I like him We're at opposite ends of the table, tho.
Literally the hand before, we had this:
Villian's in BB, I'm in CO with QQ I open raise to 8 and only villian calls.
Flop [Ks][Th] He check, calls 12.
Turn . He leads for 19.05 pretty quick...I wait 1 second and call.
River UGH! He checks and I'm forced to check behind...I ALMOST bet here since I was 95% sure I was ahead...but it's a bad spot to v-bet.
He had T8o, nihan donk.
The Hand:
Next hand, the heater continues and I pick up KK and open raise to 8, only villian in sb calls.
Flop [9d][5h]. He check-calls 12 - again.
Turn and he once again quick leads 22.70. HERO?!?!
Thoughts: I'm quite sure he doesn't have a 9 here...but I'm wondering if raising is the right play...I don't want to raise him off of hands that I'm WA to...
