Villain and I have logged several hundred hands together. He's 22/7 and plays very aggressively post flop at a 3.5 AF. Main concern here is turn and river, but comments on all streets appreciated.

Button ($10.46)
SB ($20.96)
BB ($26.31)
UTG ($23.05)
Hero ($25.33)
CO ($23.64)

Preflop: Hero is MP with [8c], [Ac].
UTG calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) [Jd], [3h], [8s] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.75, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls $0.75, UTG calls $0.75.

Turn: ($3.75) [Ad] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $2.35, BB raises to $4.7, UTG folds, Hero calls $2.35.

River: ($13.15) [Qs] (2 players)
BB bets $13.15, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $26.30

c/c
check min-raise
He probably has something like 33 or 88. Go all-in to try to make him fold it obv

You said you'd logged several hundred hands on him...no notes on set lines or bet sizes? An exact pot-size bet...hmmmm.

fwiw, if I'm villain I'm not giving you credit for having much with your flop or turn bet. (I was a habitual underbetter before...) If he's a good enough villain that's not just playing the cards, he should be looking to steal this pot. I really think if you put out a stronger bet on the turn it would make it easier to fold after a c-minraise and psb.

Forgot I had posted this

Villain doesn't show down much; people fold to his aggression. I've seen one set, which might have been later in this session. He flops it and puts in a pot raise over the top of my bet on a monotone flop, then folds to my 3-bet. He frequently bets the pot on the river. Sometimes its bluffy, sometimes not. This was the first time I saw him chk mini-raise. His usual play is to make a psb. So, that was puzzling.

Though this is the dreaded c/c c/r mini sequence, I do have aces up, which added to the dilemma. I didn't bet the pot on the flop, because I wanted to put out a probe bet and see what was out there. I make aces up on the turn, so I think I'm way ahead. I don't want to bet the pot here, since a J will be more likely to fold and I want a J to call. When he raises me, I have to reassess that, which led to the problem.

Since villain has played so many hands with me, he's probably seen me fold to the c/c c/r mini line. So could be a bluff here with something like a small pp or weak J. He will push people off hands on the river. My basic problem in this hand is trying to weigh the bet pattern (=monster) against his style of play, our history, the board, and the fact that I also have a decent hand. I let the betting pattern win the day here, but was not sure about it.

In retospect, I think I should have called. The only hands I can really put him on, given his style of play that beat me are 33 or T9. AJ, 88, JJ are pretty unlikely.
