Sick sick sick...a set-miner's worst nightmare

Really sick, I've been in one of these hands once as the top set, and I can tell you it's a nice feeling. Not close to this pot size though .

If utg was trapping his play isn't that bad. You have two players behind you who have shows a lot of strength, so he probably wanted to get the money in on the turn. If you put in the second reraise you're really telling everyone you have a set, and players with an overpair should be able to fold. Of course if you know the other players had sets and are not folding anyway, you can push.

Just a rule that applies to this hand:
Beware the guy who checks and then cold-calls a re-raise.
