what's your play and what's your read?

i raise to $70 and call all in if he pushes. Hoping the turn is not a spade, i push. If it is, then i curse and throw my mouse through my window.

I was typing out a response but as I was typing it I kept changing my mind and then I realized that you checking is what caused my indecision.

I think leading here is a must. The problem is that he almost certainly has

JJ with a
AK with a
or [Ks].

Im not sure if you should check raise because if he calls you still dont know which hand he has. The check, I think is horrible, but now that you did it, I would just call and pray the turn isnt a and then I would lead out and fold to a raise.

not wanting to raise to $80 and get called by Kx, i just flat pushed. of course, being the donkey i am, i played this flop terribly, and got (almost) stacked by [Ks]. the only way i can justify myself is that i just thought "well, AKs is the only hand i'm behind, and as long as i'm gonna play this poorly, i might as well play it awfully" (ok, that last part wasn't in there, but in hindsight it is what i shoulda thought).

blech, i felt like such a fish when this was over. had to quit my session and take a break until i felt like i had my a game back.
