Villain in this hand is fish so do you think river shove is a better line to get paid off or betting like 225? I have no reads so I have no idea if he is calling here even 225 or a shove. Both bets look strong since if he has like JJ or QQ on river he must think he is beat. Did i lose value here(besides getting lucky on river
I do agree that my line of flop is retarded. I just thought that this way he might fold smaller pp's that would flat call my flop bet but I don't think that is the right way to go about it.
Hand2:
Stacks:
UTG ($570.00)
UTG+1 ($192.30)
CO ($998.85)
Hero ($803.27)
SB ($620.10)
BB ($718.90)
Pre-flop: ($9, 6 players) Hero is BTN [Ts]
3 folds, Hero raises to $21, SB calls $18, 1 fold
Flop: [5c][4h] ($48, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks
Turn: ($48, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $35, SB raises to $90, Hero calls $55.
Villain is loose and fishy, with tendency to bluff. Should I raise here or just flat call and possibly raise/bet river? I kinda fear that there are not many hands that call my raise that I am ahead of.
The reason why I checked flop was the fact that he would either CR me a lot on flop or lmake a move on turn. And if i get CR on flop im practically playing for stacks with medium strength hand at best.
