3/6nl - full ring straight on a paired board. who folds this

I have $600. CO has me covered. he's 22/8 over maybe 45 hands. plus i'm 8 tabling and don't have any better reads. : /

I get [8d] in the SB.

UTG +1 limps. CO raises to $18. button calls. I call. UTG +1 calls.

$80 pot. 4 to the flop, which comes out [5h][5c]. I lead for $54. UTG +1 folds, the CO calls, and the button folds.

$186 pot. HU. turns the . bingo. i don't want to push him out, since there was no other real flop draw. I lead out for $108. he insta-pushes. It's 414 more to me, making this push roughly the size of the pot.

insta-call? does anyone fold this? What kind of hand does an unknown player smooth call on the flop only to push on the turn with?

I might get chewed out for this, but I don't like leading that flop with 4 other callers on a paired board, especially with that pot that size relative the other chip stacks.

I don't get the flop lead, it will only get AA etc to raise you you of your hand while if they would bet 54$ you could call..

I've been toying with the whole betting out on a draw concept. I think the advantage to it in a game with a lot of regulars is that they can no longer put me on a set when i lead into them, but instead have to wonder if i'm betting out on a draw.

seems like people aren't liking my flop lead here. I guess it's questionable at best. *shrugs*.

And to answer your question smokin', i love playing SC's for small raises preflop in what's likely going to be a multi-way pot. for the obvious reasons i'd rather make the call OTB, but i don't mind looking at it from the blinds and then playing it similar to the way i'd play a set.
