Not "standard." I only make this play when I think I have fold equity on the push...do you really think that you have fold equity here? You're likely up against either AJ or KJ...which means that you only have the flush + 3 outs...you're a ~33% shot here...why push when you're going to be taking the worst of it? That's what you did when you don't have fold equity...if you have fold equity, you can take the worst of it because the fold equity makes up for it. You don't have that here, so the push is a bad idea...I call and evaluate the turn.

i play my big draws slower at low limit nl, but at 200nl and 400nl pushing draws fast is almost mandatory. In this case, i would slow down.

I am also fairly new to no limit, but considering the short stack and the overs+nut FD, I would just open push flop. Even if I do lose the hand, my $8 is now sitting directly to my right, and I have first shot at getting it back against a donk that posts UTG and plays like this.

I don't mind SNG's line here. Get it all in on the flop against the shortie.

just realized how short the guy was...i woulda pushed too.

however, most of the time, in low limit nl, i like to play big draws slow, hit first and then extract.
