Villan is a solid Regular I decide his PFR to mean AQ+,TT+ (outside chance of 99,AJs)


Villan opens for $5, 3BET to $15 with Red Queens all fold he calls.

flop: [9c][2c] $31.50 (2 Players)

Villan Checks, I bet $20, he raise to $60, Hero???


He could have AA,KK but I think this may be a flush or something like AK,AQ with the . Either way this has reverse implied all over it and I dropped it. Anybody check this flop?

Hero: $155 (BB)
Villan: $160 (CO)

This is the same Villan as in the first hand. So he may have a wider range here.

Villan opens in co for $3, I call with [8d]

What the best way to go about this? C/R? Lead and if he raises push? I am at least even money or ahead unless he has 99. Thoughts?

2. Not sure how FR plays but I 3 bet here if you are going to play it. As played easy flop CR.

I think you have to check this flop. Villain is likely to have flopped a decent hand. The only hand that will for sure fold to your CB is AQ/AK with no clubs. The rest of his range is either an over pair with possible flush draw or a flush draw with overs. Against that range your hand is marginally ahead. However, you can't really stand much heat. (i.e. a check-raise). THerefore i check the flop for pot control.

In most situation you will want to bet a monotone flop with an overpair to prevent players with crappy clubs from getting a free flush. However, villains range doesn't include any low clubs. If he has a FD, he has either an overpair or overcards to go with it, which is a pretty strong hand that he is probably not gonna fold. Therefore, beting to get a club to fold doesn't apply here.

Also, alot of hand which you are slightly ahead of will CR you making you lay down the best hand. Furthermore, the few hands you crush (TT/JJ with no club) might just fold if you bet or they could even CR you and get you to laydown the best hand.


HAND 2.
I would check-raise.

One more thing....
When I first looked at the hand, I thought "yea I would check that flop sometimes," but after analyzing it further and looking into what villains range is here; a check is by far the best option. IMO
