True, a CR is a more powerful play, usually indicating more strength--and a set would more than likely go with check-call if he's any good (which certainly isn't a given).
Anyhow, if my assessment is accurate of around 50% equity vs. those hands that he's likely to call a push with, then the more fold equity you have the better. I do think specifically A5, A2, 33, 44 and of course something like AJ (if that's in his range) fold even though they have odds to call, and A5 and A2 are a little ahead of you--not sure about AJ, 33 and 44. I'm guessing they're a bit behind but not much.
