The opponent had only just joined the table so I had no idea how he played. I'd like to know how other people would play the flop, turn and river please. They way I played it, I think I have to call the river. I can see an argument for raising either the flop or the turn too and perhaps folding to a push. I went for the way ahead / way behind line and turned into a horrid calling station.

I think my play was too weak (and a bit of a guessing game on the river). What is a preferable way to play this please?
