Im changing my name from MVP to ATM...

Postby MVPSPORTS » Mon Mar 14, 2005 4:46 pm

I wish I would've joined BTP last week when I won $800 (which is a lot for me) at Ultimate and not this week when the poker gods stuck it to me and I seem to be giving it all back... I'm pretty sure I got sideswiped with this one, that this guys brother must work for Ultimate Bets or something, but just wanted to see if there was anything I could've done, besides gone to sleep about an hour earlier. I'm sorry I don't have a hand history, but I couldn't have run away faster from the computer after this one...

1/2 NL at Ultimate...
I was in the BB w/ [Ah] [Kh] . Everyone called around to me.. I raised $10. Everyone folded but Mr. Lucky. He calls...
Flop K brick brick rainbow...
I immediately bet the pot (I think about $30). Mr. Rabbitsfoot calls.
Turn 7 (basically a blank, or so I thought...), I bet the pot (about $90). The four leaf clover raises all in for about another $45 or so... I can hear the whooshing sound from my wallet as I try to figure what the hell this guy can have... no straight, not much of a flush... No other face cards... I'm WAY too pot committed now to fold I figure. So I hold my nose and call...
River - blank
I show my TPTK, and Ultimate Bet's nephew flips 77 for trips        ... and I've been on suicide watch since...

How the hell could this guy have called $40 in bets with a pocket pair that was the 3rd best? If I did something wrong, please let me know... Anyone who read my other few posts, I'll gladly admit that I should've pushed one of them, but the other two, about $400 worth, seem to me like bad stinking luck...

Any help would be appreciated...
