Why is a push the better play? It's not results-oriented. It's about making the right play for the company you're keeping.

If anybody with any ace will pay you off for a full stack when you hit --
and anybody with any king will pay you off for a full stack when you hit --

then why not try to hit?

Pushing gains you fold equity over hands like AQ and KQ and A2 -- but you don't want that fold equity, IMO. You want them to stay in the hand and then make massively costly mistakes postflop.

But you call and you're going to miss the flop the majority of the time, even moreso when your opponent hold the same card as you. Since you just called preflop he has the advantage, and you're just gonna have to checkfold more often than not. Not counting the fact you keep many other players in there and the chances of you having the best hand postflop deteriorate.

The problem is that at Tribeca if Tim reraises to $30, he'll get called at least twice. Now he has a $100+ pot, hes OOP and hes going to miss the flop 2 out of 3 times and out of the 1 time he hits his A or K, what does he do if the flop is

AQQ
AJT
AQ4
KQJ
ect...ect

I just dont want that big of a pot OOP. SO I like to fold most times here and wait for a better spot, but Im not oppossed to pushing all in.
