The biggest thing I've been working on over the past month is trying to control the pot size and not just keep hammering away whenever it's checked to me and I have TPTK. I think I've gotten much better at it, but where is the line between controling the pot and just losing my aggression and playing too weak? Thoughts on the following hand?

UTG+1 a tight solid semi-aggressive player open raises to $.60. VP$IP 17% PFR 6% after over 200 hands against, but he will min-raise with his best hands as well as his lesser ones. Smaller bets after the flop don't necessarily mean weakness.

I call in MP2 w/ [Kd]. Everyone else folds.

Flop - [As][7d] Pot - $1.50
UTG+1 checks, I bet $.80 which gets insta-called.

Turn - Pot - $3.10
Check, check

River - Pot - $3.10
UTG+1 bets $.60, Hero raises to $1.20, UTG+1 calls

UTG+1 mucks

Here I was worried about a slowplayed 2 pair. AQ was definitely in the range here. Was I too weak or did I do the right thing to keep the pot small until the river. The insta-call on the flop made me suspicious because there was really no draw out there. Opponent's river bet just looked too weak for someone trying to get paid off so I was pretty sure I was best by the river. If opponent had bet in the $2+ range I probably would have just called.

Opponent said that he had KK and my check on the turn actually earned a call on the river as he said he called because I let up on the turn and he thought I was bluffing.

I'd bet more on the flop.

I love the turn check.

If I'm going to raise on the river, I probably do more. Just calling is fine IMHO.

Reraise preflop, I don't like my AK in big multiway pots I want it heads up.

Bet turn again I want more value from A10, AJ, hell if he's that tight he may fold AK (though I seriously doubt it at this level)
Your river raise sucks, just call it or make a real raise to $2.50 (which I'm not too big a fan of)

Thanks guys. The river raise was a mistake. I was messing around with Prima's software upgrade thinking that hitting the 2x raise button on the river was going to bet $1.80 on the river (kinda like Tribeca), but it only min-raised. I was prepared to fold if he re-popped a significant amount, but the river bet just seemed too weak.
