1st hand:
Stacks are deep, I have 135, he has 185, Villian is running at 20/8/3.33 from 78 hands
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO
VILLAIN raises to $3.50
HERO raises to $9.00
VILLAIN calls $5.50
*** FLOP ***
VILLAIN checks
HERO bets $12.00
VILLAIN raises to $24.00
HERO raises to $126.45 and is all-in
VILLAIN folds
HERO collects $64.50
Is this pretty standard play? I wasn't sure what to do since we were so deep. Had I only had the $100 stack then a shove was automatic, but the extra $35 made me think about whether to re-raise to about $60, but then I'm pretty much pot committed. For the record I'm 80% sure he folded AK. AA he would have re-raised with PF, QQ and KK aren't laying down their hands here and it looks like a min-raise to find out where he's at considering I re-raised him PF.
Hand 2:
I have $165, V1 as $140 and is a complete fish (80/6.6/.38 - but I didn't know it at the time), V2 has $90 and is solid (19/11/7.5 after 105 hands) and V3 is the same villain from the above hand and has $150
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO
V1 calls $1.00
V2 raises to $5.00
V3 calls $5.00
HERO calls $4.50
MARIOL1ER calls $4.00
*** FLOP ***
HERO checks
V1 checks
V2 checks
V3 bets $13.00
HERO raises to $36.00
V1 folds
V2 folds
V3 folds
HERO collects $44.65
I'm regretting the check raise. I think I should have just check-called to see if I could get more people in the pot (such as the fish who probably would have called with an A here!) considering there's very little I'm losing to. The CR on the flop gave my hand away too early but ultimately I wanted to get as much money in the pot as possible considering the deep stacks again. Maybe I should have made it slightly less to go, say $30. Or just flat called and lead out with a modest bet on the turn.
Equally though I might have made the right move because I don't think anyone with AQ, KQ (which are two hands V3 could have called the raise with) are folding anytime here. He might have had an underpair and was trying to pick up the pot, or was just bluffing. Thoughts?
