i'm pretty sure villaian bought in for a full stack and had lost a couple hands. seemed agressive but not too crazy from what i had seen. i was playin at work (dont tell my boss) so no PT to check back on. went back at the end of the session and copied this hand to get some feedback

-call and see a flop and hope its nothin too terrible? but it doesnt matter if the flop looks "good" if he already has you beat with aces

Obviously he could have Aces, and it should cross your mind, but I don't think I can give him credit for that hand while playing 4 handed.

He raised on the button, which doesn't tell us much about his hand. You re-raised his raise, which defines your hand somewhat, but your range of hands is still much greater than just the premium hands. When he re-raises now you know he actually likes his hand, or he's trying to resteal over what he thinks is your resteal.

Bottem line is that with the action so far I think he has a big pair (AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and maybe TT) or AK, AQ, or AJs.

You may have a much better read on him, but if I'm caught with KK vs. AA in a 4 handed game while I'm in the SB and he is on the button I'm going to go broke. Since he is in a classic steal position and you are in a classic resteal position there's just no way to really know until the cards are shown.

There is no way I'm folding pre-flop, and with the stack sizes I'm probably not folding post-flop, so I think it's best to just push right now.

Like others said, 4-handed I will not fold KK preflop. Even in a full ring is hard to do it. So push or just call, and try to get the money in on a non-A flop??

I think I favor a push because you're out of position, the pot will be over 650 with villain only having 400 left, so you pretty much have to push any flop, even with an A. You don't want to give him a chance to fold TT/JJ/QQ on some A/K flop, so just push now.

I don't bother with the call and check/raise, he has half his stack in the pot already so I just push. If he folds I won 33bb without contest, if he calls I'm likely 70-80% favorite.

If he does have AA; at least you won't lose a full stack. And no way in hell do I fold KK preflop 4 handed unless he accidentally flips over his cards revealing AA. Yes I know the three bet often means AA in a full ring game but the chance of KK vs AA at a 10 handed table comparef to a 4 handed...
