Folded to me OTB with 33, I raise to 7. SB (no reads) raises to 15, I call.

Flop KQ3 (two clubs). Pot = 32, he leads 20, I raise to 60, he calls.

Turn KcQc3s7h. Pot = 152, he check calls 140.

River KcQc3s7hAc. Pot = 432. He checks...Hero?

this one here I might actually check behind. Not TOO concerned your behind, but with the FD and J10 getting there on the river, I'm nervous. I would bet, if and only if, my read on the villain was good enough to call if CR'ed all in. If you were going to fold if CR'ed all in on the river, then obviously you check behind.

I check behind because I'm not willing to play for a double stack with bottom set on a board like that, and I want a SD.

He reraised you preflop. That normally means a big hand. It could mean less since he could be reraising your steal raise, but with this board and the fact that hes not afraid to play a big pot, he doesnt have junk here.

The flush doesnt bother me much since the , and are on the board.

But AA, KK and QQ scare the hell out of me since you both have double stacks.
You beat AK and KQ....AQ is not very probable.

SInce AA, KK and QQ are the most probable hands, plus he could have something like [8c] if hes tricky, Im checking behind.

Im willing to lose value to AK or KQ here.

If he's got the flush then he's the hugest donk in the world, unless its [Tc] and now has the royal. I don't see how he's got [8c] though, surely he lays that down on the turn?

I have to check behind this river as well as it is too likely you are over-setted.

The river check is odd, but maybe he's a bit worried about his QQ with the K and A out there. Or he thinks you will push for him.

I pushed, he had AA and said he put me on AK. There are two things gonig on here: 1, all the hands that you'd put someone on probably just hit sets. The only hands that I beat are AK/KQ...which ARE possibilities here. But, I really hated my push here afterwards (it was a valuebet) only because I didn't think that he could easily have AA. The flush wasn't a possibility, nor was the straight...shit happens...oh well.

Where do I find your journal? I would like to read about your theory. I have always used the plan to see the flop as cheap as possible then be ready to fold unimproved to any pressure. I suppose, if you can call a big raise especially a re-raise then you are ready to be the first raiser and maybe even re-raise?
